Sesikinaga (Sessi) Outpost 2002 Wagering Pools.

Submitted by Bob Johnson

The Johnson Outdoor Adventure tradition of wagering pools lives on in 2002 at the new Sessi Outpost location. Will any fish be caught at Sessi? Time will tell but whether you catch 1 or 300 you might win one of the many pools set up to enhance the CONTEST at Sessi next June.

con•test noun [kon•test ] (plural con•tests)

1. competition to find the best: an organized competition for a prize or title, especially one in which the entrants appear or demonstrate their skills individually and the winner is chosen by a group of judges (or in our case: The Johnson Outdoor Adventures Official Daily Fish Tallies Totals Keeper, FRANK)

In 2002 there will be 7 ways you can beat your competition and win some money! They are: First Walleye, first Northern, largest Walleye, largest Northern, most Walleye, most Northern, and new for 2002, most combined total Walleye and Northern.

The rules:

Each contestant who wishes to enter the pools will do so at the "Adventure Begins Bash" to be held immediately following our arrival at the Rendezvous motel in Canada. Each participating contestant will fork up 1 buck for each pool. (That's $7 bucks for those from Texas). All pool funds will be collected and held by the Johnson Outdoor Adventures official accountant, FRANK.

After each day of fishing each boat will report their individual totals to the Johnson Outdoor Adventures official daily fish total tallies keeper, FRANK. The winners will be announced and the funds will be distributed at the “Adventure Ends Bash” by the Johnson Outdoor Adventures official daily fish tallies totals keeper, FRANK.

Additional rules:

A fish will be deemed “caught” if that fish is brought to the Gunnel of the boat and in a position, where if a net were used, the fish could easily have been netted. Both boat members must deem the fish “caught”.

The Largest fish must be measured in feet and inches by an accurate manner.

The time to be used for the first Walleye and first Northern will be the accumulated minutes counted from when the boat departs the dock to the time the fish is caught. These minutes to be called the DELTA minutes.

Any and all disputes, questions, and or complaints will be handled by the “Competition Wagering Pool Committee”. Who that is I have NO clue but if we need one we will figure it out. One thing is clear, the chairmen of the “Competition Wagering Pool committee” will be the Johnson Outdoor Adventures official accountant, FRANK who by the way is our Johnson Outdoor Adventures official daily fish tallies totals keeper.

Texans remember, you will need $7 to enter the pools.

Good luck to everyone. See you at Sesikinaga Outpost 2002.
